Update on Celebration Weekend 2020
We regret to inform you that the School of Medicine 2020 Reunion has been canceled due to Coronavirus (COVID-19). In addition, the MSTP 50th Anniversary Celebration is postponed.
Washington University in St. Louis is committed to the health and well-being of our community. Given recent guidance from the CDC on limiting the spread of COVID-19, as a precautionary measure, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the School of Medicine 2020 Reunion. The MSTP 50th Anniversary Celebration will be postponed until a later date, which will be communicated as soon as details can be confirmed.
We encourage you to visit the Washington University Emergency Management website to learn about the university’s response to COVID-19 and how we are trying to reduce the risk to our community and to the region.
We want to thank all of our volunteers and those alumni who were already registered to attend Celebration Weekend. We look forward to celebrating each year, so we share your disappointment in this change of plans. However, your health and safety remains our top priority. Together, we can contribute to protecting the well-being of the Washington University alumni community.
At this point, we do not currently believe it would be feasible to reschedule the full Reunion. However, should we decide to reschedule we will inform all members of the 2020 Reunion Classes. As noted above, the MSTP 50th Anniversary Celebration planning committee is working to confirm new dates.
If you have registered for Reunion, you will receive additional information within the next few days regarding a refund of your registration fees.
We encourage you to cancel your hotel reservations as soon as possible. If you have a hotel reservation at one of our host hotels, please contact your hotel directly. To read the hotel’s cancellation policy, please refer to the room reservation confirmation sent by the hotel.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact Medical Alumni Relations at email@example.com or 314-935-9682.
