Student Group Funding
During the 2018-2019 academic year, WUMCAA allocated more than $243,000 from the Medical Teaching Fund. This account is funded by unrestricted gifts of up to $999 from alumni and former house staff. Alumni may also elect to target their gifts above $1,000 to this fund as well. Students are asked to prepare proposals on behalf of their community service and professional organizations as part of the funding process, and the Executive Council selects projects to support.
In addition, the Executive Council honors longstanding commitments to the Distinguished Alumni Scholarship Program and the Farrell Learning and Teaching Center.
The following organizations were funded during the 2018-2019 school year:
- CHOICES for Youth in Detention
- First and Second Year Social Funds
- Global Health and Medicine
